Ohmigawd! I’ve been drawing Amy wrong! (Not that I actually draw anything right. But you know what I mean.)

There wasn’t any of the classic “Eureka!” moments. I’ve been aware of it for awhile, and just finally snuck up to it.

Away back when, so long ago, in the DVD tutorial they did a section on how to draw Leela. And I assumed that Amy was drawn the same way. Nope!

Amys head is drawn using a “hitchhikers thumb” shape, not the basic “sphere on top of a cylinder”. This makes her head taller and thinner, and her hair sits differently.

This is based on a grab from the funeral scene from “Beast with a Billion Backs”.
