The anime is Eureka Sevn, it's a awesome anime, but doesn't get much attention here in the U.S. You can watch it on adult swim or you can fin episodes on you tube. I found a guy on YouTube who had all the episodes dubbed in english[link]

That is very good. And yeah that is one of my favorite parts. Eureka seven is one of the best animes in the last 5 years. Dare I even say, better than Naruto and Bleach combined. *runs and hides from imminent retaliation*

I've seen Eureka7 too, but didn't like it much because it just seemed really slow moving.

the first 8 or so eps are slow, but it starts to pick up a LOT by 11/13. it snowballs from there.
and to the artist: this is ADORABLE. omg. that is so in-character~ renton would definitely do something sweet but dorky like that to cheer her up... and she needs cheered up a lot. :\ your chibis aren't too bad~ the legs are a bit short (even chibis have proportions of some kind!) but other than that, they look good!
