wait. uh, correct me if I'm wrong, but Cat Noir does not really love ladybug, but he loves Marinette but doesn't know she and ladybug are the same person. He loves Marinette but she doesn't love Cat Noir. She loves Adrien but she also doesn't know they're both the same person. So..um..yea I dunno whether I was right or wrong but that's what I thought how the relationships are like, well anyway, the comic's really awesome, still!!

actually Cat loves Ladybug but doesnt know shes Marinette while Marinette loves Adrien but doesnt know hes Cat! Ladybug keeps denying Cat saying they wont be together but Adrien is chill with Marinette but doesnt love her like he loves Ladybug! its confusing but funny! i love the show

I lived in Japan for almost four years. I speak the language. Anime is short for Animeshon, which is translated into English as--you guessed it--animation. For instance, in Japan, Adventure Time would be referred to as "Amerika-no Animeshon", or, an American animation.
Check your facts before you claim to be correct.

ok so after cooling down i realized everyone has their own definitions so im sorry that i acted like a prick,its just mydefinition is any animation made by japan as in that they actually make better stuff than we do of course minus a choice few but lets agree that we dont want Breadwinners to be called an anime right?

Agreed. Things like Breadwinners I personally wouldn't dare call an Anime, but the same can be said of many Japanese cartoons. Again, that's just personal preference and not how the language works.

yes see thats why my defintion depends on the "animes" topic for example i wouldnt call fairy odd parents an anime because theres no real danger in most of the tv shows where as japanese anime like you would say usually have ligit charecter arcs and personalities

Well, not necessarily. For quite a while, Adventure Time lacked those things, not really getting dark until the end of season two with the rise of the Lich, and even into season three was still a little bit lacking in character development until the episodes "Thank you" and the two part Christmas special where Ice King was revealed to have a tragic past. It took Adventure Time a long while to really establish itself, to this day mostly telling short stories that don't seem to connect until later.
The thing is that, despite this, I've still considered it an Anime. For me, it's not about a sense of danger or overlapping arcs, or even the growth of characters. For me, it's about smart writing, and Adventure Time knew what it was from the beginning. That's what I think an anime is. Animation itself is also a big part of that, I mean, a lot of people work really hard for 9-10 months just to make something that's only 11-22 minutes long. Even if cartoons suck, you still have to at the very least appreciate the hard work it took to make it.
Also, if we're being fair, Nippon doesn't have many live action shows in comparison to the US or UK, or even it's neighbor Korea. They use Anime as a substitute for that. Comparing American cartoons to Japanese anime really isn't even fair at that point because of the medium that the two separate entities cover.

Actually, the original Ladybug was Japanese, and the new Ladybug is French that they dubbed with English.
