Self PortraitYou know how when you've had an unpleasant experience with your partner, or ex, or object of infatuation. After, you are in need of a ego boost. Some eat chocolate, some go out with their buddies, some flirt. Well I felt like taking a nice set of angry pictures of myself. So that I did. I think the contempt I felt for my ex at the moment that this picture was shot, shows.

dr-bipolar: Well it was taken after an unpleasant conversation I had been having with my ex (we had recently broken up) but all is fine now, we didn't get back together but are good friends now *smiles*
bug500: It made me happy to see that someone appreciated the framing of the photograph. I also agree it does alot to how dramatic the atmosphere is. And yes, I was feeling axactly how you described. Strong and determined. Rebellious in fact.

Well, that's a good way to make catarsis.. an expression like that has always an impact on the viewer.. sorry about your bad day but, i'm so glad you've made this pic. (maybe that sound a little selfish )

well, among other things, here are some things I like about this shot - the offset frame, the emotion in the eyes, the shadow of the hair on the face, the short depth of field, the great contrast. Besides the technical aspects, I love the feel of this shot. While there's anger, it doesn't seem self destructive. Rather, you look determined and strong. Perhaps an illusion after whatever just happened, but the tenderness and despair are left out here. Great work.
