Some thoughts on art:

I have always been the most fascinated by atmosphere in art. You know, how sometimes you do not only see a painting, but also feel it - a sign for me that the painting is really good.

Plato's theory of forms talks about the essential nature of things, how for example we always recognize a tree, even though there is a bunch of very different trees - it's because we recognize the tree-ness in a tree. For me, great art does a similar thing: it catches a glimpse of the true essence of what is being painted, the fundamental thing that breathes life into its uniqueness. Things get really interesting, when you try to do that with stuff that comes from your imagination.
