next: [link], The BBAs other artist and my BUDDY!! visited me this week. We had tons of fun. She goes home in the morning but we vowed that before she left we'd have this damn page done.
And look! we did! now, im going to get to work on the next page straightaway!

Amazing page! XD I was really glad when I signed in and saw there was a new page up. ^^
Though if I can make one little comment, in the first panle Blades back legs look very off from the rest of his body. They seem to small, is this just angle, my com vs. yours, or is there a real problem here?
Anywho the whole thing looks great keep up the amazing work. XD

I love the last frame, of the 4 wolves all together, That's probably my favorite style, they look sly and their feet look really dainty, sooo adorable!

When are you goint to have the sled dog group? Syrus looks like an interesting character. Although I understand it would be hard to take a storyline from a setting of desert drylands to ice-cold snowlands. Can't wait to see!

True, but the name "Blade" doesn't mean "sharp pointy weapon" to these wolves. It's just a word. Or you could interpret it as a quirk of "translation" between wolf and human languages

No, you don't understand. In this world, those words and concepts don't exist. Blades, and especially scythes and claymores, don't exist, as they're all man-made tools, and this world doesn't have humans. That's like asking the English word for the device that instantaneously restores an old, broken down, rusted car to its original pristine state. There isn't one, because such a thing doesn't exist. Those wolves couldn't have those names, it's a huge inconsistency with the world's internal logic.

I think what they meant to say was that 'rapier', 'scythe', 'blade' in this world aren't meant to have the same meaning as what the dictionary defines them. They're just names/words the wolves made up.

That makes no damn sense. You can't make up definitions for words that already have them, and you can't name things that are so completely outside your experience you wouldn't be able to conceive the concept. "Scythe" means a farming implement with a curved blade and long handle for harvesting grain. The wolves wouldn't even begin to understand that concept (no tools at all, certainly no blades, no farms), and you really can't say "Well, I know the word 'blue' is assigned to a specific color, but I want it to mean 'refrigerator'!" It's just the author being lazy, I think, and not bothering to keep consistency in her world because she likes how zomg badass! those names are.

-shrugs- Can't really speak for the author's reasoning but it made sense to me but then again I know there are English words that sound a lot like the few Khmer words I'm familar with and those words don't share the same meaning at all.

Yes while the comic is English that doesn't mean all the names have to be translated from 'wolf language' to English. I know of Japanese animes/manga, where the English translation kept some Japanese names and translated others into English.

Yes, and those are written in Japanese, a real language with vocabulary, grammar, syntax, all that good stuff. BBA is written in English, and the names are obviously English (Bloodspill's name, I'm sure, is exactly what it looks like). This isn't a case of translation and faux cognates, this is a case of the author being lazy.
