Hi Kay.

Once again, I'm in deep awe of the Blackblood Alliance work I've seen thus far, and can't wait until I am able to afford getting it. The artwork and story are amazing. I DO have one question though: what is the actuall difference between a Blackblood wolf and a more "natural" wolf? I've often wondered.

Blackbloods and dires (in the comic) generally have exaggerated stops (the angle of the forehead) in comparison to grey wolves. Blackbloods specifically come in a wide range of colors, markings and body types, but on average are taller and larger than other wolves.

Love this page Kay, I loved the poses in the background, and Rip is adorable. Whats up with Swift? Love how Blood just kind of watches her run off while the elders are saying "Someone stop her!". Also, why is the den so wet?

Hehe, pee. The real reason is there's ground-water underneath much of the oasis, flowing through underground rivers and streams. A few of those intersect at this crevice and have carved away at its sides, with the help of wind erosion as well, to create the shapes you see within.

I love the way these panels are lit, the colors are so soft. The orangy cream old dude is probably my fave of the characters. Man, those backgrounds are crazy detailed.

Actually, I think this is my favorite page of issue 2. So far. xD

I really like how you had the names of the individual characters floating over them and all that; it was very nicely done. And Longstride? I don't remember him. >.>

Also, I love the way Riptide is scratching in that seventh panel.

And the indignant elders amuse me, but that might be because I live right next to a retirement community/town/whatever and therefore cannot take old people seriously.

Indeed they are. Once upon a time, me and my mom were driving behind this old dude who eventually stopped his car, got out, and then walked over and knocked on our car window. He then loudly accused us of "making obscene gestures at him for the past mile."

Biggest 'wtf' moment of my life, I do believe. But it was awesome at the same time.
