I couldn't help but notice the similar patterns on Bloodspill and the leader whom was speaking. It makes me wonder about the family lineage in the blackbloods pack.

Where do you come up with the names like "Quicksnap and Swiftkill..?" I was wondering that for a while and I was thinking about Warrior cats but none of those names sound like that I mean Brambleclaw (one of the main charries in Warriors) is way different than Bloodspill right? I just wanted to know

Blackbloods are born with names that are just sounds, like "rikaji" and "rusk". They dont really mean anything and are just used to distinguish them as individuals. When they turn a year old they are sent off to man camps, to live as dogs and survive among the residential dog packs.
Soon they will travel with the dogs and men on a mammoth hunt. If successful, they are given warpaint that the men use to identify them. But they return to Inaria and are given the blackblood names (two syllabols only, usually words that mean something).

This is gorgeous, and I really love the shouting elder's expression, and how Swiftkill is more interested with the water(?) on her foot than the words of the elders.
I'm curious, in the third long panel, the elder states that he will also "make it clear to Fei that she must remain as well." This seems to me as though he must make her understand in some way other than speech? Is Fei deaf? Or is there some other problem?
Pardon if this is a really silly question that's been answered somewhere, I just haven't seen it stated anywhere.

I play Fei (Snowfall) on the BBA forums and I was told she is deaf due to albinism.

Ah, okay, thank you for the information! I knew that was a fairly common issue many people experienced with albinism, it's nice to see that even in 'fantasy' dire wolves, that trait is kept so accurate, as opposed to how often I see people with albino characters that are otherwise perfectly normal aside from being 'oh white!'
