Hm. For some reason I get the idea I'm behind on these.. xD I'm already loving this issue.

I completely promote eating bats, but not quite this kind. As for it being the best comic on here, I wholeheartedly disagree.
Originality factor; Half a Star.
If the storyline were more interesting, and the characters not so repetitive perhaps this would stand a chance in the real world.

Ha-hey! Another to escape the fan craze. 
I like Kay's comics, I think she puts a lot of effort into them- but I think people get way over-obsessive about it; being the best comic on DA. There's a lot of comics I think are absolutely amazing, but are way underrated because they might not feature wolves.
And I think maybe the storyline needs a bit of developement too in my opinion. It's going alright so far, but maybe a bit more action or faster movement soon? because I enjoyed the first half of the first issue, but then got a bit bored.
Oh, and go Joker!

I do like the story and the comic, but you have to keep in mind that you canβt expect everything to be perfect when you only have two people working on it. Most professional comics involve a lot more people so you canβt really hold the flaws against the authors too much. Best thing to do is just give them constructive criticism. They HAVE seemed to edit the comics a bit to reflect some criticism theyβve got, which is good, it means theyβre willing to keep improving.
An example being the Swift VS Rapier scene, there was an error in logic in a line of dialog, but I noticed itβs been fixed.
I do agree that the plot could probably be a little more interesting and original, and contain more action, and some of the character names are a bit, dare I say, corny, but I still find it to be an enjoyable read nonetheless. The characters ARE interesting, at least the main ones where more development has gone into them.
Riptide reminds me a lot of one of my own characters (kind of silly, a bit childish, typical male-ish) and I like Bloodβs attitude as well, and Nightrun seems to be the caring and rational one of the group, Swift is obviously very proud, etc. I can definitely see personality in them which is good.
Personally I would do all the writing first and the comic making second, but thatβs just me, and I really donβt know how theyβve gone about it. My guess is that they have most of the major events of the story planned but not quite every detail yet.
Maybe if they get popular enough to the point where they could hire a professional writer or editor to help them make the plot more intriguing, they could really take this off, who knows
Take examples maybe from some successful wolf and dog stories, like Wolf's Rain or the Gin/Weed series. Though Wolf's Rain was extremely cryptic and philosophical with its ending, but I guess I like that sort of thing.
It's kind of silly now though that nearly everyone wants to start a generic wolf comic. <.>

That's true; comics usually do have whole teams working on everything, and Kay & Esda do a great job, being just the two of them.
And God, it's just silly. Everyone's making wolf comics just because of BBA, really. 
I do like some of the characters; I'm not sure I like the main ones all that much, but the rest, such as Riptide and Rapier, are really well thought-out.

Ginga Nagareboshi Gin was an anime/manga about a bunch of dogs fighting evil bears, (that's pretty much what the whole thing is about) and another series was its sequel, and that was Ginga Densetsu Weed.

I'm not trying to get into a large argument here, but I just stumbled across your comment and found a few errors.
Error #1: Where in the world does anyone call the BBA the best comic on dA? Those kind of comments have only been posted by screaming fan-girls who probably haven't had a chance to look through some other comics floating around on dA.
Error #2: How are the charaters repetetive? In what way are they repetetive- do you mean, perhaps, the species? Please explain your comment- I write my own stories, and I don't believe Kay's characters are repetetive.
Error #3: The storyline has basically just begun. It's issue #2. Ever read Spider-Man or Batman? The storylines don't get serious until the 3rd or 4th issue. It's the same way with a novel- the plot explains itself as you read more.
