Description hrrffft, finally it is done! this piece is really tests my patience!!!!

It is my comic of Edgar Allan Poe's 'The Raven'. The text here is not copied word-for-word from the original, I've edited and cut out a bit to fit my interpretation(and I think Poe's a bit whiny and long-winded sometimes ). It became a real pain in the ass towards the end, but I like it still XD.

Btw this is a bit of Roman Dirge's Lenore fanart as well. I adore her soooo much!

Painting+Photomanipulation+Brushes

Cast:
- the Raven
- the protagonist
- Lenore (the usual bunch of people XD)
- PallOz
A & B - the Seraphims

Credits:
..and some more O_o(i lost track)

what do you paint on to get that dark effect? is it a black canvas?

ooh if you mean the watercolour paper texture..., in Photoshop go to Layer > New Fill Layer > Pattern, then choose this texture in Artist Surfaces set that looks like rough watercolour paper, click ok and change the layer mode to Multiply or Overlay then adjust the layer opacity % to suit your taste

oh why, is it too dark for your screen??? no i didn't.. I drew each frame seperately(ok, NOT seperately, as you can see there are lots of cutting and pasting ) but yeah, I made each frame seperately, then clump them together in sections, add text and speech bubbles..then assemble everything together so now it looks like this

Publishing material. Have you ever considered going into that field?

This is superb art!

Thank you Chris. Oh, I hope to get published one day but I dont' know how to go about doing that! I think I will have to propose to companies, right?

Yes, definitely. You should compile a portfolio of your work and, of course, of the stuff you wish to have published. Sample pages of your comic, for instance. All that plus a neat resumee with your qualifications, eduaction etc. etc. I guess that would be the usual procedure. Or you have connections.
