Bio: Zira was raised by her father after her mother abandoned them for another lion. Her father Nyoka and his mother were both hateful lions and instilled many ideas in Zira's head.

One day Nyoka was killed by a young Scar (then, Askari) who was beginning to suffer from a mental illness and lashed out at the lion in anger and fear.

Zira was ignored by her grandmother, in her grief. So the growing cub was forced to join the pride whose ruler both Nyoka and his mother hated. Uru welcomed Zira into the pride, not knowing she was the daughter and granddaughter of her enemies (though she was a bit suspicious).

Something about Scar drew Zira to him, and she began to "pester him" (his words). As she grew into a young adult, he filled her head with ideas and promises and they took each other as mates.

They were together for many years and she was unable to bear a cub until a year into his reign: Nuka. He was a pathetic thing and Scar could never accept him as his heir or even son. Zira hatched her genius plan: she would mate with Chumvi who was close enough to looking like Scar that their cubs should be able to pass as his.

Her hopes were crushed when her only male was stillborn. As she left her birthing den to bury the dead cub, she saw a freshly deceased Kula with a healthy looking son who was the spitting image of Scar! She knew it must be a sign, and ordered Nuka to grab the cub so that they may present him to Scar.

Scar was very happy with Zira for her "son" and made him his heir. Nuka was very jealous and tattled on his mom for what she did. To his surprise, Scar was even more pleased. He hated tradition, and even if his own blood wasn't his successor, an imposter was the next best thing.

Scar never learned of Zira's treachery in mating with Chumvi, because that was the day he died.
