Description
This is an illustration based on the marvelously magical music of Eisley. There's stuff in here from almost every song on the album "Room Noises" although I don't know if anyone but me would be able to figure out how each song relates to the stuff in the picture.I started this so long ago and I'm glad I finally finished it but I'm not sure it's really truly finished. I had some trouble integrating the digital with the traditional, so maybe I'll fix this up later.

I guess they're sort of an indie rock band and they're very clean. Actually they get labeled as a Christian band sometimes even though they don't sing about Jesus or anything.

it's so cool! I just love that you mixed digital and traditional! You're right that it could be mixed a bit better here and there, but it's basically awesome overall I love the various elements and I love the composition of the piece

I recognized the title immediately as Eisley's song. Fantastic, this is adorable and completely worthy of doning the pages of an elegant storybook somewhere, <3.

Ah, THIS is what I pictured when I listened to the song; not the dinky music video they put together for it--this is beautiful; it's like something that should be alongside a Grimm faery tale. It's gorgeous.

XD it totally is. It's about a birthday party or something, and it's basically just them singing--and the lead singer is surprisingly static in it.

Oooh. Have you ever thought about illustrating a whole storybook before? I think it would be great to see one from you in this style.
As for integrating digital and traditional... I'm not sure how this would turn out, but you could try shading with a brush that mimics traditional media (like the chalk brush) so it has that rough quality. But I've never tried it myself before, so it could turn it out to be really crappy. :0

Thank you! I'd love to illustrate a real live book but it just hasn't happened yet. There was that Little Red Riding Hood that I was supposed to do but I never heard back from the publisher. But we'll see!!!
