Description
For my entry into the Aged Down contest,<www.deviantart.com/disney-clubβ¦
I decided to delve into Jessica Rabbit's childhood as a budding singer with her goofy supportive dad on bass and her friend Pengy the penguin (whose family she helps find employment later on at the Ink & Paint Club when she lands a contract there) shaking their hips to their hit single, "Why Don't You Hula Hoop Right", which would go on to inspire her even bigger hit "Why Don't You Do Right".
I had a lot of fun with this, using my Wacom tablet exclusively after sketching it in pencil first. I used reference images for the cello and microphone to make them as accurate as possible.

What an original idea! Great choice for the contest! I love the back story here too. I really love how you did her dress. It is very eye catching.

A much younger version of Jessica Rabbit? THAT is interesting...
But thanks a lot for not sexualizing her too much, instead you designed her as a happy, lively girl who enjoys performing on stage to no end.
And her working with her dad (which she seems to love, too) is a great idea, too He reminds me of some younger (hipster-type) dads of today

A most original entry!
I like the concept of how she started to sing professionally, and making a comedy act too. (the penguinΒ )
Her dad's design is very rock n roll and modern with that hair!
