Description I thought you were the best kind of girl.
The kind that didn’t know
How beautiful
How smart
How perfectly
Imperfect she was.
The best kind of girl
Who loved purely
And laughed loudly.
Who shared her secrets
And her webs of darkness.
Who kept nothing hidden.
Who didn’t even tell
Little
White lies.
The best kind of girl
Who was so honest it hurt,
So beautifully open that
My heart ached.

But I guess I was blind.

Because you were the worst kind of girl.
Who called her cruelty
By the word “honest.”
Who loved herself
More than she could ever
Love someone else.
Who had deeper,
Darker secrets,
Hidden six feet below
Her “truths,”
Which only scratched the surface
Of an
Ugly
Twisted
Vicious
Blue-eyed girl
With nothing but
Ice in her veins,
Or cruel intentions
In her heart.

The kind of girl
To “love” me,
Only to have me find out
That I wasn’t the only one
She “loved.”
But those wide eyes,
Porcelain skin,
And scars that told a story,
Caught me in her net.

So I cut my way out.
And now I have too much
Rage in my heart,
Anger in my blood,
To even feel hurt
By her selfish methods
Of “love.”

So to the worst kind of girl,
I may not be fine,
But I’m better off than someone
So callous,
So guiltless.
And I’ll sit here
And write poems about
How you
Didn’t
Break my heart;
How to warn against your
Lying, hollow shell
Of a human.

The joke’s on you.
