A commission forHe wanted a four man exploration team exploring the cavernous ruins of a long dead civilization. Or are they truly gone
He wanted them also dressed in old European Napoleonic Wars military uniforms. The Wraith is dressed in Victorian English wear because he is the group's 'wizard' and he must be the dapperest of them all.
My god did this take a long time to paint X(

Oh gooosh all the detail in this is so gorgeous, and oh man ARCHAEOLOGICAL EXPEDITIOOOONS! I love the fire and glow effects, and the dragony statues along the walls are really beautiful, I love the mossy greens covering them!
