anyways, back to that sweet MLaaTR content!

so fun fact about me as a kid: Little Mermaid was my absolute jam in the mid-2000's (I believe they had just released a special edition DVD set in 2006, which I got for Xmas that same year and played the absolute daylights out of), and, of course, so was MLaaTR. I loved drawing both Jenny and Ariel, and I loved drawing Jenny as a mermaid. Why? and more importantly, how? Well, Tween Me wasn't exactly thinking abt that when she was drawing, only "wow, Jenny would look so pretty as a mermaid!" which is valid.

As an adult, I still find joy in entertaining these ideas, but nowadays I do think a little more about the "how". As it turns out, it really isn't too difficult to imagine a scenario in which a robot mermaid could exist. I think this would make for an interesting AU where Jenny is made as an Aquatic Response Unit of sorts, built by marine biologists and tasked with protecting the ocean's many lifeforms (as well as rescuing any humans that get lost at sea). Of course, in true Jenny fashion, she can't help but be mesmerized and endeared to human beings and other land-walkers. Would be pretty baller to get to walk amongst them one day...
