Description
This case of sorcerous artifice is one of many of its kind which dot the hills in this area. Originally a byproduct of alchemical study, the mollusc tree is now harvested for both medicinal and culinary applications. A rare mollusc is fished, and immersed in an amniotic solution within the bulb of a specially cultivated tree. The aging process is quite long and the mollusc actually lives in a torpor until its harvesting. Specific parts of the pickled mollusc meat are a much saught after delicacy, and the brine possesses a potent restorative effect when imbibed or applied as a salve. If the proper procedure is not followed, and the bulb split or tapped by a poacher, the mollusc will vicously attack, and soon drown, spoiling its meat.Animator's blue colerase pencil. Photoshop. the mollusc is so detail , and its periqinkle color makes it pop out a little, it is extremely beautiful. It is like an original rendition of an octopus's garden.

There is something absolutely irresistable about this picture. I love the concept - in fact, all of your explanations are well-written and very well thought out.

very imaginative piece, it really makes you think about the molluscs life! the tree is charming with its swirly limbs, curves and delicate roots that hold onto the rock almost like fingers. I love the colors of the mollusc and the way it sits in the bulb, and the golden lock is a nice touch! the whole color pallete is nice, although I wanna see a littlle more difference between the tree and the rocks
beautiful drawing!

Another great one I'd say. I like the crown of spiraled limbs. Gives a distorted effect, moreso than the rest. Love it.

When I first noticed the title "Mollusk Tree" I was thinking of an underwater scene, or perhaps a large tree with shellfish of some sort growing from it. Boy was I surprised! The title is blunt and the content humorous. I often try to imagine the purpose of images before reading the full description, and there were some features, such as the lock, which I would not have understood without a text entry. I like how the tree appears to be precariously balanced on a large rock, but it looks sturdy enough to support the heavy (or light?) weight of the mollusk. The orientation of the tree and the bulbous sac reminds me of a giant venus fly-trap. Very cool (and need I say original?) concept.

Mr. Wormwood, you r0x0r my s0x0rxz. Your art is always of the highest standard, both in creativity and execution, and the strange detailed stories that describe them are a pleasure to read. You must have very elastic brainmeats. Are you inspired by writers or artists specifically, or are these concepts all the progeny of those aforementioned brainmeats?
Sincerelike,
C.

Definitely a combination of brainmeats and inspiration from other work. Nothing is produced in a vacuum. Though my inspiration is drawn from thousands of sources so I don't really have a list.
Thanks.
