So I've been experimenting a lot lately with negative space in watercolour
You hear the phrase "less is more" often, and it can be applied in so many different ways. I guess because of that, it's a little vague.
With art, I guess it's about how what isn't on the page can actually be so much more powerful and impactive than what's on it.
The "ibnetwen" taht our mnids flil in atouamtlicly to mkae snese of waht we see.
If you can read the above, that's just a little something I learnt while studying Psychology. Cool huh?
I've really enjoyed working with negative space, because I find that blank space opens interpretation, and that's something I find endearing.

I like your little psychology test. I rade ti on plorbme. As far as the painting is concerned I love it. I think the negative space really works and gives the painting an entirely different look and feel. Always loved the look of your work. Great job.

When the settle wants to come, it will come.
I've been wanderlusty for years when it comes to render techniques, but now I feel the motivation to settle rather than the pressure.
The way I see it, it's better to explore something when you feel the desire, because as time passes, that desire will go away too, and that's a missed opportunity to make a new friend with a new technique.
My work involves black and white pieces where positive and negative spaces get flipped depending on where it is in the composition rather than if it's black or if its white.
