This is a photo of the trail boss from the last roundup I photographed before leaving Florida. Sadly it was also his last roundup as cancer made it impossible to ride a horse or even drive a truck. He tried to pass on his cowboy spirit to family, but they didn’t have the love of ranching required to live the hard life where absorbing the beauty of the land from on top of your best friend is the only real reward you'll get.
