Description
An unsuspecting Cobra Stealth Operative was eyeing an Outlander patrol, when he had an idea to divert from his original mission and follow the patrol to their camp. The Operative was baffled to see the patrol disappear into an amethyst cave, where he too would silently venture into the dark caverns. The only thing he was worried about was getting the information back to Jericho and alerting Cobra Command about his findings, when his shadow mysteriously faded from beneath him in total darkness. Wisely, the soldier realized that he had been discovered and quickly twirled around to meet the would-be aggressor; however, the Operative found a tall lizard-like behemoth looming over him. To prevent being discovered by the patrol he was following, the Operative opted to use his combat machete but the weapon had no effect on the lizard's scales. The Operative was afraid, for he was breaking rule #1 of Devrian Warfare: To never willingly engage a Devrian in close-quarters combat. The soldier was slammed against the rocky walls and the lizard dug her bloodied claws deep into the rock behind him, like it was nothing. The Operative looked around wildly for a potential escape, which annoyed the lizard, but found nothing outside of trying to fight his way out. Unfortunately, the lizardess gave him no time to decide, as she raised her claws and ended the Operative in one quick slash.
