Description
*sob*This was this one scene in the first book that I’ve wanted to draw for a long time.
*spoilers if you haven’t read the first one!*
Its when Clay is trapped in the SkyKingdom. He starts to play the song The dragonet are coming, a hopeful song about the dragonets ending the war and saving them all. Then all the prisoners started to sing along.
Clay looks at the spire next to him, and an IceWing is singing with her ful heart, her snout tilted to the moons.
The next day, Suddenly a swarm of Nightwings descended from the sky and murdered all the helpless IceWing prisoners, including the IceWing Clay had seen.
I thought this was pretty sad, so I drew it.

She's the sister to a character of mine (who's basically the best ice mom around), Frigga, and she thought she was dead for about a decade.
