I've managed to beat it, once, starting on that level.

But I've gone all-the-way through several times, and I realize that I don't notice the speed of the blocks, unless I pause and re-start.

Pausing sucks, because I played it on a calculator and could never remember which button it was. After a full minute of searching the pile is at the top on level 1 and I'm already screwed.
