Also only the "royal pony sisters" have horns and wings, while all changeligns have both. Still I am pretty sure this is not the case, but it could still become a cool fanfic.

First what is "RP"
Second. I am writting a fanfic right now about the mane six becomming Alicorns, I know there has been a couple of these before, but this one has a new twist. The same day they all wake up with these new developments Celestia and Luna disappears. The sun is just hanging their over the horizon and Prince Blueblood tries to take command, then a lot of mysterious events start happening not at all related to Pinkie playing bounce with the sun and Fluttershy transforming into "Nightmare Shy"

Neat. & FLuttershy just turned into Nightmare Shy? Crud & I saw the last fanfic where she turned into that.
Wasn't pretty what happened. So much death because of that including the princesses. Lets hope this Nightmare Shy isn't as violent & murderous as the one in "Night Of the Shy".

Well actually I think of this more as a pun, but also to explain the role of the "nightmares" regarding alicorn powers.
They are nearly indestructible and immortal but thier only weakness is their emotions. Luna got corrupted by jealousy which made her a jealous vengeful monster, Fluttershy was just corrupted by fear. Which makes her really afraid and instinctively wants to kill anything that gets near her.
Anyway she maneges to get corrupted and turned back to normal within a single chapter, the worst part of the odeal was acording to Rarity, that it turned her hair green.
Its mostlty unimportant to the plot, and is used to show their weaknesses instead of having to explain them. Anyway except for the main six Prince Blueblood will have a really big role, their will also be camoes from a lot of other beloved charecters such as queen Chrysalis as the six friends tries to figure out what the buck happened to them and the royal sisters.
Don't worry I'm not a grimdark guy. I plan to have the story labelled as "dark" "adventure" "comedy" and "random"

Well according to my planing the hive in the middle of the Badlands will get a visit from a bunch of pissed off alicorns that seems to think that she kidnapped Celestia and Luna. Long story short, Chrysalis does not like her homeland being invaded, and what's more she really seems to be innocent this time.
This of course frustrates Twilight to no end. Discord is still trapped in stone and Chrysalis is too busy rebuilding her hive to even think about invasions. With no real suspects and a lot of rumours going around.
Even an army of six immortal alicorns can do nothing against a foe that never shows its true face and is always two steps awead. And the biggest question of all is left unanswered, what does it want?
Discord wanted Chaos, Nightmare Moon revenge, Chrysalis power. Some ponies even start to doubt its very existence. But Twilight knows that the enemy exist, because the only other explanation is that the rumours are true. That she did commit regicide and grand treason in order to steal Celestia's throne.

Regicide is the killing of a regent, more specifically the killing of a regent for the purpose of stealing his throne. A famours example was Oliver Cromwell and his execution of Charles the first.
Quite Frankly Prince Blueblood accuses her for the worst possibly crime, murder of Princess Celestia and Luna, and he is trying to put the population against them, and the worst part, its working. And they can't just arrest him or shot him up, because that will just prove his point that she's a tyrant and lay futher claim that she was behind Celestias disaperance.
As to "Grand Treason" that refers to another crime, Twilight in paticular, that I'm not telling, I'm already sort of given spoilers.
But I guess its no surprise that Prince Blueblood is a major dick that gives the tern a whole new definition here.
I'm a little torn as to what I'll use as a story picture, as there dosn't exist one that really gives the rigth feelings that I want to put in, and I'm not talented enogh to make a good picture myself. If the story becomes a hit I think I will commission one from one of the many talented artist here on deviantart, until then I think I will just use something that is a simple approximation like "Twiligth's tiara star thingy"

Well I haven't really thought of using original characters as friends or help.
My picture of the big baddy in this fic is an entity that I call "cute little filly"
It's inspired by the idea of "the ghost girl concept" which I think comes from the old Twilight show.
If your not familiar with the term it refers to the idea of a little mysterious girl that knows far more then her age should allow and found in places where normal girls would never venture. The concept was briefly touched in this old Will Smith movie [link]
