Description
A quote that I came up with myself while thinking about some personal things. I decided that I wanted to write it down, make it look good, and show it to other people and inspire them to also be happy despite what may be wrong in their lives.
Color Choices: I took my colors from the flags of the two sexualities stated, which are here ([link] ). Gay is a rainbow, straight is black and white, but I chose to make the straight shades of grey because even being straight there is no black and white, but shades of grey and so many variations.

ummmmm I don't want to start a fight or anything but gays are discriminated against and I don't know if you've noticed, but tons of homosexual kids commit suicide due to homophobic bullying, in April this year like 4 or 5 homosexual kids committed suicide. Again I don't want to start a fight but I think the reason the government made a gays right rule is so they won't get discriminated against as much...

I know there's alot of people commiting suicide due to depression or bullying these days, on the news some weeks ago showed something about a boy who commited suicide due to bullying, he hung himself in the bathroom after the school bullies broke in and beat him in his own house when he was home alone. Sure we have our own problems to deal with I know I do, I'm always called "Emo" or "Attention Whore" whenever I talk to my friends about it and ask for advice. But what I want to know is, why are there some people who are discriminated against for being themselves?

Black and white are the universal straight colors, just like gays have rainbows and asexuals have purple and black.

Frankly I think assigning colors to sexualities just shows people have too much times on their hands.

I was offended by it before once.
Had this argument with an angry teenage girl and I asked her if gays have a flag then why don't straight people have a flag. To which she said that we have a flag and it's dull and gray like us.

Gays have a flag to represent their pride. It stands for a lot. How far they have come as far as being accepted into society goes, how love and happiness is what really matters. Heterosexuals don't have a flag because it's it's rare that a heterosexual has to deal with prejudice. We can get married and raise a family without having to deal with the hate and negativity.
You sound like a sensible enough person, I am sure you can understand what I mean.

I don't really mind gays and gay acts, but I do mind billoard-gays (that's how I call them). The people who wave their pride all over the place and are doing their best to be different.
I don't mind people being different, I support individualism. But when you want to be socially equal with straight people WHILE having an own flag, parades, celebrations, bars... it becomes a one big oxymoron.

There are just fewer homosexuals, so they have segregated bars so they can mingle with each other. If a gay man walked into a bar and started to flirt with a straight man, there is a chance someone would get offended or even hurt. It is a bar after all.

Oh, I dislike black history month too. You know what we do with old stuff? We put them away. What we do with the dead? We bury them. Black history month is overdone, it encourages racism because whites think they're not getting enough and cause blacks think they're getting too much. And before you go ballistic about me being white and not knowing anything about the "black struggle", I had half of my relatives killed by Nazis in WWII. But I don't demand anything for that. I don't want any special treatment, nor I want a whole month of history lessons dedicated to learning the many ways my people were executed. And I don't even hate any Germans for that, times have changed. But I do dislike nationalism as a whole, and patriotism to some extent.
And in my opinion my thoughts on the whole German-to-Nazi and Black-to-Slave can serve as an excellent parallel to the Gay-to-Pride comparison.

Well this has gotten out of hand.People just want to be treated equally. If we could all just tolerate and love each other, Blacks wouldn't need their own month, gays wouldn't need their parade and bars WWII victims wouldn't have been victims of anything. But because we can't be compassionate we need these things so the struggles of hate, murder and prejudice and never forgotten. The only point I was trying to make is gays are proud of what they are because love is love no matter what form it comes in. Hate and greed are the only traits that have truly transcended time and remained in the hearts of man. It's a sad fact.
