Not even sure why I'm submitting this... must be boredom...

Concept: at this stage I'm usually not even sure what I want to draw. I pick one of these concept sketches when I want to make something "more complete"

Pencils: using the concept sketches as a base, I usually check online for better references. In this case I just nosed around Nick's website. When I amassed the appropriate stuff I take a sheet of printer paper and work out my "rough" lines.

Cleaned: After importing to Photoshop using a scanner or in this case, a camera, I erase the rough lines that are still left, and mess with the brightness/contrast sliders. This way my background turns near pure white...

Colors: With my trusty tablet I splash some colors on the thing. My colors are muted because I like it that way... as a finishing step I sometimes up the saturation, but desaturated colors like this are kinda soothing...

Meh, I'll put up a proper step by step thing in a few weeks or so, because this one is mostly worthless
