Description
"We are the blades of Aiur" is a quote from Zealots of Starcraft IIIf interested, you can find the 360 degree view on youtube www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z9rMHl… and a rough tutorial of how this is made here .
The design belongs to Blizzard, I've just modeled it in 3D.

how did you get the edges to look so sharp?

I gave the edges a tiny chamfer, so my mesh smooth modifier won't affect the edges that much

the reason i ask is there is a guitar i have been wanting to design up in 3d with beveled edges like that and i have seen any edges that sharp looking. it looks like a chamfer with a fillet! thats it thats what i was looking for!
thanks keyan!

hmmm... did you use it with the bevel modifier? you know I modeled this with the same technique as modeling a car for example, polygon by polygon. keeping my topology flowing correctly according to the ref image. after a low poly model, I selected the edges that should go sharp, and chamfered them with 1 segment (doubling every edge) and finally added the meshsmooth.
