Bi-Monthly Event 10, Option 1: Open Sesame!

Royal was surprised that Admin Uriel got her a gift-- frankly, she didn't think she deserved one, but at the same time... well... Uriel and the other Admins had taken her in at her lowest, and provided for her, even when she was less than willing to cooperate. The least she could do was accept the present. She gently lifted the lid off of the brightly colored box with her teeth, setting it down as her eyes locked onto the gift inside; a scarf. Royal didn't really have anything to her name besides her residents' collar, so it would be nice to have something else to wear. Royal was seconds away from trying to force some kind of sign of gratitude out of herself, when one of her feelers made contact with the scarf.
It was as if lightning struck her, shooting through her veins and making her vision go white. Before Royal could blink, the scarf was wrapped around her neck and woven through all four of her feelers, and waves of emotion surged into her. This material... that memory surged to the forefront of her mind, but, for the first time that she could remember, Royal was easily able to shove it away, to not think about it. A few more memories, much happier now, flashed before her eyes; that's what it was. The scarf felt just like her owner's old sweaters. That feeling of home, that she hadn't remembered in so very long, dimly resurfaced. As Royal shoves her head down into the scarf in an attempt to hide her sudden emotions, thinks distantly that she might be able to get used to this whole Christmas thing.
