RIP, William McChord Hurt (March 20, 1950 - March 13, 2022). William portrayed Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross aka "Red" Hulk in 5 films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Ross is somewhat responsible for turning Bruce Banner into the "Green" Hulk through a failed military project. There are 2 versions to this failed project.

(VER 1) In the original 1962 comic, Ross is a US Air Force general and the head of the Gamma Bomb project that went awry. (VER 2) In 2008 MCU's The Incredible Hulk, Ross led the Bio-Tech Force Enhancement Project whose aim was to recreate Captain America's Super Soldier Serum.

Comic canon will later have Ross become the Red Hulk to be Green Hulk's nemesis.

Sadly, we may probably never see that in the MCU moving forward.
