{ for the twelve days of Christmas i'm gonna be doing some gift art for artists who influenced my ~creative journey~ ! i feel like i've really come into my own artistically this year and i want to thank some of the people who helped me get here <3 }

you have seriously the COOLEST monsters! honestly i think locks are part of what kick-started my obsession with shape-shifting characters. (this isn't about art but - your snake keeping hobby is what sparked mine - i was terrified of snakes before i came across your boa blog, and now they're one of my favorite things in the world and i have two of em ) i love how you draw from nature and real life biology to build your fantasy ecosystems, and the intricacy of your character relationships is just awesome. i enjoy your interaction doodles with them so much and that's a big part of what pushed me to start developing my own oc's. you've been such a big inspiration to me both art-style wise and story-wise! i wish i could dig up some of my terrible 8th grade lock fan art to show you but it's late and i'm sleepy i'm so excited to see what you do next with the lock world and i hope you and your reptiles are doing well!
