Apollonon slowly roused to consciousness, and he immediately regretted it. The Lizardmen were happily butchering his children and giving slabs of meat to the various members of the tribe. He closed his eyes and wept, there was nothing else he could do. This morning he was a father going out on a hunting trip with his family. Now his family was a meal for Savages. As he collected himself, he noted he did not see Khyna's remains. Hopefully she fled and notified the clan. The clan would slaughter these beasts, but he would likely not see it. It took time to ready the clan for war, days at minimum and Apollonon doubted he had days left. The Shaman circled his cage tossing foul smelling powder into the air and chanting. Apollonon deduced he was to be a sacrifice. He hoped he choked whatever fed on him.
