That show was awesome. One of the best things ever.
I love both designs, specially the little details in both of them. And looking at the other entries, yours have certainly the best quality (IMO).
Also, I picture a scene where the group wants to find the ruins of Everfree (to where none of them has went before) and after looking and searching, Annie goes "There it is!" Everybody looks in the direction and...
"Well, is it there? Tell me I found it XD"
"Yeah!"

Heh... Star does look kinda silly, though that might actually have more to do with her obviously sour disposition at her own appearance. Conversely though, I think you did an absolutely amazing job with Anie. I especially like the way her cutie mark expands to wrap around her legs like a vine. It's rather reminiscent of some of the "full body" marks that some of the artsier pony toys of old would sometimes have.
Also, I know Star is always supposed to have oversized wings, but did her rainbow powers make them even bigger, or am I just imagining things.

It realy looks badass. Evything is 20% bigger: Annie's Adorableness and Star's wings. 
I love Annie's Cute Mark's extencion to leg. Reminds me of elves from the Witcher.
