I guess the request critiques is a premium feature. I don't know if I want to go with the comic-tone shading or use a simple grayscale gradient instead. I would like some feedback since I'm still tripping over my rusty artsy legs. c:

I love your tones! They are subtle and not overused! I appreciate the detail of the lineart like this much better (and I do love your line work!) and it's enough to give the impression of a dark place so I think if you're comfortable with it, keep doing it! 
I really would love to see where this is going! Been a fan of your works since forever, so it's always a pleasure whenever I get to see more of your beautifully polished artwork!
I wonder just out of curiosity, which program are you using for this?
