Yeah, I know most people who comment on pictures like this are. But that doesn't mean people who are smart enough to appreciate other things besides cleavage can't comment.

It's not that the people who come here for more than nudity can't comment - it's that they usually don't. They see pictures like this everywhere, and most of them aren't creative, aren't artistic; they're just fanservice, insipid and devoid of substance or creativity.
Admittedly my wording is a little harsh, but don't get me wrong - this is not a blanket condemnation. A little fanservice is all well and good from time to time... but I think that an artist should be able to do more; specialization is for insects.
It makes me very sad that softcore porn (furry or not) is practically a shortcut to instant popularity, and that the majority of the people here have a mindset that allows that to happen. Namely the one whose highest thought is "HURR HURR I CAN SEE HER PUSSY. GEDDIT? CUZ SHES A CATGIRL HURR-HUH-HURR."
But what really frightens me is that when artists who've built their reputations on fanservice get enough meatheads fapping to everything they draw just because it's got a pair of titties in it, they stop using their creativity. They eventually figure, "Hell, if I can draw a naked woman, they'll keep coming back!"
Eventually, their creative muscles start to atrophy, and they become a creative dead-zone, churning out half-assed whacking material. There are hundreds of popular artists here who have fallen victim to Creative Stagnation, and I believe that that complacency, that lack of drive to improve and keep moving is slowly killing dA.
In short, I think that the atmosphere here reflects the artistic community on the internet - and what I see worries me.

I suppose in a very roundabout way, I'm saying you're unusual among your kind - her unmentionables are on display and you're looking at her face. I find that admirable. Lord knows, 90% of the people commenting on this picture probably can't even describe her face, and the rest probably aren't even aware she has one.
When it comes to porn, my condensed thoughts are "enjoy it if that's your thing, but don't get trapped by it."

I don't come to deviant art to look for porn. I come here to look for cool looking art. And if I find a cool looking picture, I like it. No matter what body parts it has exposed or doesn't have exposed, I don't really care either way. If it's cool looking, it's cool looking, and I comment on it saying so.
