Limbo grew up in Arca, a heavily steampunk/cyber based city-state. They allow for the transfer of one’s consciousness into another vessel- robots. Though they have a dragon’s mind, robots are much more durable and easily repaired as compared to a fully living dragon. Their safety isn’t as much of a concern when it comes to work.

As someone born with a deadly bone disease (Fibrodysplasia ossificans progressiva) Limbo was quick to build his new body and transferred when he was 16.
When he was being shipped to an island off the coast of Arca to do some check ups, he landed on the wrong carrier and woke up half way across the world with Valen
