Description
I'm posting this here because I thought it was a good space to upload pics when I'm too lazy to bother with anything more complicatedAnyway, this was done for a 3D design class I took recently. The project was figure modeling, and I just knew I had to create The Count of Monte Cristo (Ganktsuou) in all his blue glory. Now, I've never attempted a figure before... in fact, I don't think I've touched clay for at least 5 years.... but he turned out alright for a 1st attempt.
materials: sculpty & acrylic paint
height: 8''
Painting it was easier then sculpting, but only by a small margin! His hair is my favorite part, and I can't believe none of it cracked off when he *fell over* (I almost had a heart attack) when he was being baked in the oven. I had a lot of fun, even tho it was a little frustrating, and learned a lot so I know the *right* things to do when I next attempt figure sculpting.

WOW! That's awesome. I love it! You even made a nice texture pattern for the interior of his coat! The hair rocks. It's a very good sculpture.

That is some amazing detail. Awesome work, especially for a first figure attempt! Great job.
