Yep, it's fun in the sun for Sam.... let's just hope Danny doesn't wake up yet.
Anyway, this is my entry for summer contest. I knew it was going to be a picture at the beach, but when I came up with this, I just couldn't keep myself from doing it.
Danny's taking a snooze. He knows Sam is burrying him in sand, but what he doesn't know is how she's making th sand look like.
Sam just caught herself a ghostie.... on purpose!
Yeah, background sucks, and I positioned the sun completely wrong, but hey, can't be perfect, right?

Woah, this picture is absolutely awesome with its mix of cartoon style and realism (the lens flare, the reflection on the water). I didn't realize exactly what the thing was that Sam had done with the sand until I read the description, and then I just laughd. Great job!

You have mastered the art of the beach. ;A;
This is an excellent picture! What I like is that some of the elements some people might disagree with, I for one think you lended an average beach scene a dash of something new. It works! For example, the waves. They look a bit like "filtered" lines. Just straight across, but darnit if it doesn't work! It's a great cartoony touch! The addition of white dots further enhances it. I find it funny when people do things right, even though it's wrong. As you mentioned, the sun. On such a moment, it'd be much further up, however, the reflection off the water and the lens flare are well done! You caught the horizon and the perspective very well too. I am so enjoying that sand. Love the touch of humor. XD That's creativity on several levels! It could be cuz I've been doing so many beach scenes lately but this is an excellent piece. Great work, as always!

Yeah, I think I got a tad lazy on the waves. I don't remember exactly why, but meh. 8D And thank you so much for pointing out the sun. I was actually hoping you would. I knew I had positionned it completely wrong, so I was glad that you mentionned just as a tip for the future for where it should be.

EEEEh I don't know how he can enjoy being burried into sand. I once got burried and I hated it. It feels... eeek! I always had the feeling that something was crawling up my leg. It's creepy!
