Description
I've finally finished my battle frontier application. Among the lessons and the management of my Pokémon battling website, now I have almost no time left for Deviantart.

My sincerest thanks go to my girlfriend, Neeja , who helped me a lot and pushed me to complete this work.

As she did, I've combined the cartoonish style of the anime with the pixel art of the game. Movesets and Pokémon natures also reflect this choice, slightly different from the strict canons of battling, to make room for moves like fly and surf, or natures like brave and naive, more suited for a rpg.

Biography
Kidel was born and raised in the suburbs, between Viridian City and Pallet Town, in the region of Kanto, where he formed a deep friendship relation with Neeja. When he was 10 he received his first Pokémon from Professor Oak, a strangely pale Charmander, almost yellow, and with his new friend he left his family and friends behind, to begin his new adventure.

He is currently traveling around the world with Neeja and, after winning the medals of Kanto, Jotho, Hoenn and Sinnoh, he is preparing to challenge the gym leaders in the region of Isshu. During his travels he captured a large number of strong Pokémons, that he trains to build strong teams.

About the team
Zack (male Charizard): Kidel’s first Pokémon. He was initially concerned about the strange color of Zack, who was clearly different from all other Charmanders. This mood did not last long anyway, especially with the talent that the Pokémon showed during the fights. After some research, Professor Oak informed Kidel that there was nothing to worry about, since that strange color, combined with the brightness, was just a very rare feature that distinguishes some Pokémons. However it didn't matter anymore, since the evolution in a Charmeleon (during the fight against Brock) had strengthened their bond of trust. Not after a long time, Zack evolved into a Charizard, which was, to the astonishment of Kidel, almost completely black. Zack is very rash and he always gives his best during a battle, becoming a real nightmare for the opponent.

Lloyd (male Scizor): Caught in the Safari Zone in Fuchsia City when he was a Scyther. On that occasion he gave a very hard time to Kidel, who managed to capture him after a long battle, just before the time ended. To challenge the Elite Four, Kidel needed a Ghost Pokémon to fight Bruno, and so he temporarily exchanged Lloyd for Charlie (Neeja's Haunter). Once returned, Lloyd had now merged with theMetal Coat he used to hold, becoming a flaming red Scizor. Despite its general slowness (even as a Scyther he was slower than his fellows), Lloyd is able to launch some incredibly fast attacks, like Quick Attack and Bullet Punch. He usually rushes headlong into the middle of the battle, and is able to withstand numerous hits, but as soon as he notices that Jehuty is observing him, he suddenly becomes awkward and clumsy, like he's no longer feeling at ease.

Jehuty (female Lucario): During another safari game, but this time in Jotho near Route 48, Kidel found an egg that was about to become the prey of a gang of Houndooms. So he tried to chase them away using some stones and a branch (since you can't bring your Pokémons in the Safari Zone). Almost overwhelmed, Kidel was rescued by a Riolu, who drove the Houndooms away with his attacks and, moved by Kidel's behaviour, gave him the egg, which hatched a few days later. Jehuty, the newly born Riolu, immediately became attached to Lloyd, seeing in him something like an older brother. During a double battle against another trainer, Lloyd received a serious wound to protect the inexperienced Jehuty, and this pushed the Riolu to evolve to help the comrade. After that, Jehuty started to behave strangely towards Lloyd, blushing very hard, and always giviving her best in everything she does.

Kratos (male Marowak): Once in Lavender Town, every trainer use to pay a visit to the Pokémon Tower, where hundreds of graves of deceased Pokémons are located to be recalled by their owners. This place was once assaulted by Team Rocket, which killed several Marowaks to get their skulls and sell them at a very high price. Wandering around the Tower, Kidel came across a group of 3 Rocket members, who were fighting against a little Pokémon: as soon as he realized it was a Marowak itself, Kidel immediately challenged the Rockets and chased them away. Unfortunately, for that Marowak it was too late. From behind a rock a little Cubone came forward, crying for his lost mother: deeply moved for that cruel scene, Kidel comforted the Cubone, and eventually took him in his team.
Kratos used to be very sad and frightful when he was a Cubone, but traveling with Kidel he learned how to manage with his pain and started to trust people again, becoming a very strong Pokémon, also thanks to his mother’s club.

Archimede (male Garchomp): While crossing the sea to go to Iron Island to have a training stage there with his Pokémons, something odd attracted Kidel’s attention: many different kinds of water type Pokémons were gathering all around the coast, like they were trying to avoid something from the sea. Looking carefully, Kidel could see a fin, probably belonging to a Sharpedo, describing large circles in the water. "If all those Pokémons are scared by that, it would surely be a very strong Pokémon!" Kidel thought, and so he used his Good Rod to catch it. After some struggle he managed to bring out the Pokémon, however it wasn’t a Sharpedo, but a really weird Gible, angry at being pulled out of the water. Lloyd was sent out to attack and, after some fight, Kidel used a Lure Ball to catch him.
Archimede is a very strange Garchomp, who loves to swim, despite of his type, and the other water type Pokémons usually tend to stay away from him, because of the mess he causes every time.

Tron (Porygon2): Two years after his departure, Kidel received a call from Neeja who said she was having some weird problems with her notebook and so he returned to Route 1 riding Zack to try to understand what was really going on. Once arrived at Neeja’s home, he checked her computer that seemed to have some really strange problems: the screen rotated every time someone spoke, the colors were reversed if someone nearby moved an object, and strange sounds were emitted when some keyboard letters were typed (R, Y, O, P, G, N). The only plausible explanation was that a very complex virus infecter her computer, but various anti-virus gave no results. So Kidel used a backup copy of the operating system inside his pen drive to restore it. Neeja’s notebook seemed to be back to normal, so Kidel set off again for his journey. After some time, even Kidel’s electronic devices began to have weird problems. It was clear that this was coused by something that through the pen drive was able to move between devices, even if they were not linked together, but for some reason it was liable to informatics rules (such as formatting a disk). As for Neeja’s computer, Kidel succeeded in bringing back the "thing" into the pen drive, that his Jolteon hit with a thunderbolt. What popped out of the device was a disoriented Porygon2, that Kidel immediately captured with a Poké Ball.
Despite its appearance, Linux is a valuable ally in battle, and also a very useful traveling partner, able to repair or recharge electronic devices. However even today is still not clear how it ended in Neeja’s notebook.
