I decided to try and put more time into a piece of art since I usually don't spend more than 2 -3 hours on one. This took me about 12 hours.This is Fizz, my favorite character from League of Legends. I tried to make a splash art version, which means it had to be exactly 1600 x 900 among other things. Overall, I'm pretty happy with it, but I'm more happy about the fact that I actually put more time and effort into something, regardless of the outcome.
Also, I have a really hard time critiquing my own art, so any constructive criticism would be appreciated.

This looks pretty good, there is no denying that, but I would consider working on the atmosfere, given Fizz and co. are surrounded by water, therefore the light would run differently.

About critique:
It´s overall well done. But since it´s underwater you need to make distant objects seem darker, less vibrant and fuzzier a lot faster. You colored it like they are floating in space. Take this pic as an example klikkuwait.com/wp-content/them… even the fin of the front wale is already a different color than his front body.
Also about the weapon. Try to use the pen tool to make outlines for metal tools. that way they look a lot sharper - since the lines are clean. You can color the tool then by selecting the base color layer. (faster and cleaner)
