FTW#So some people are asking why this got a DD?
I made this stamp & uploaded it a year ago as I found it amusing, I did not ask for it to be given a DD nor did I expect it to get one. So kindly direct your questions and outrage elsewhere.
Thanks to ^thelasth0pe for the DD! It was unexpected but I'm grateful nonetheless

It's a well designed, visually appealing stamp with a cute and clever message that keeps to the theme of election day. You, however, are an asshole for posting this to OP's deviation page instead of taking it up with the person who featured it in the first place.

You're totes entitled to your opinion, but it's completely pointless and rude to tell someone their art isn't good enough to be a DD, particularly when they have no choice in the matter. It's not dissimilar from saying "wow this piece sucks hairy balls" without telling them why or how they could improve the artwork.

No, sir. No it should not. Do you even know WHY DD's are given? A DD is something that artists are given so people can have some exposure. It's not some huge ass award like the nobel prize or anything. It's to spread the love of art around, silly stamp or not.
Besides, we're all on different kinds of learning levels and art preferences, whether it's traditional pen and ink to the single, little pixel on a digital work. If a DD was made to fit ONLY MASTERPIECES, then damn son, not many people are going to get them.

it's not that I think there is anything wrong with the art work itself, it's subject matter. It's like if someone drew an incredibly detailed and well executed pictures of a giant hairy ass, it's like "well yes we can admit it's well drawn but I don't understand why a giant hairy butt is being submitted as a dd because it's not attractive subject matter" I didn't say that the art was bad at all, all I said was the fact that I don't understand why it is a dd because the subject matter is kinda childish and I don't think it's worthy of a dd on an art site, because there really is no art to do with it. Even the butt example makes more sense because at least it is art and not something so lame as an internet meme.
