A large planet in orbit of the low mass G type star Facals in the Norma Arm corewards of the Hanab Empire, Sizilr is the homeworld of the Esazar sapient species. Its orbit it the outer habitable zone takes 234 days to complete (197 local days) and is in turn orbited by a single small moon. Physically, Sizilr is close to a super terrestrial world, with a large radius and mass, with a thick atmosphere of helium and oxygen. Its climate is fairy cool but also stable around the globe due to a low axial tilt.
Due to its size, mass as well as close orbiting moon, Sizilr is a very active world with numerous mountains and active volcanoes. Its surface is divided in four continents whose interiors, mainly in the northern hemispheres, are dominated by numerous mountain ranges with dense alpine forests, crisscrossed by many fertile valleys of the many large rivers fed by melting glaciers during the brief times of the year when the orbit takes it closer to the star. The southern hemispheres are flatter, dominated by vast plains and cool forests, but most of Sizilr remains dominated by its alpine environment.
Though it has access to interstellar travel, the world is fairy sparsely populated and lacking in industrialization, with only a handful of large settlements that grew out of the isolationist esazar's early camps, much of it remaining an unspoiled wilderness. The esazar's practices of meditation and discipline and acceptance of outsiders has turned it into a serene center of peace and religious practices, with many of the galaxies most widespread religions having temples built on its surface- though due to the dense atmosphere and helium, most are simply a symbolic gesture as most require pressure suits to walk on its surface, but even so pilgrims of inclusive religions from around the galaxy flock to the planet and endure in a gesture of dedication to their faiths.
