Well, it's better than having a bad picture, I need to do that sometimes, and always when I am drawing on the comuter. My art teacher tells us to ALWAYS use a reference picture and to never draw off our heads because we can't do it. >.< I think even if you trace something.. as long as it isn't the whole picture (you adapt it) then it is still original art! It's kinda like photo manipulation!
I also agree with wanting to change everything to destiel xD

Yes, most of people can't draw things well, without reference picture. We don't remember the shape of the things so much detail than we expect. Once I've tried to draw snoopy without references. but what I've drawn was a weird dog with a unconfirmed yellow creature...
