(My internet usage is not quite dead yet, and the network guy is coming on thursday, but I wanted to upload this now~... *glares at brother* You give me petty enough time on this comp so don't annoy me! )

She pointed to the ruby hilted dagger, careful not to let her finger touch it "This is from Shadar Logoth. There is not a pebble of that city which is not tainted and dangerous to bring outside the walls, and this is far more than a pebble. The evil that killed Shadar Logoth is in it, and in Mat, now, too. Suspicion and hatred so strong that even those closest are seen as enemies, rooted so deep in the bone that eventually the only thing left is to kill.... It will have waxed and waned in him, what he is in the heart of him fighting what the contagion of Mashadar sought to make him.... Soon, if it does not kill him first, he will spread that evil like a plague whever he goes. Just as one scratch from that blade is enough to infect and destroy, so, soon, a few minutes with Mat will be just as deadly"

Second Wheel of Time Fanart. I'd always wanted to draw a pic of Mat with that Shadar Logoth dagger. Or looking evil, but hey both of them go together anyway. I think I'd have to say I pulled it off rather well . Although the styling on this one is a bit more realistic than I usually do, but I like the way it came out. Lighting especially . Reminds me of light slanting through blinds.... Hmmm, his design has changed since the last WoT pic I did~ Or maybe I just drew him better

The title comes from another quote (not quite as long...);
"The armies of Manetheren came and found the gates of Aridhol torn down, no living thing inside the walls, but something worse than death. No enemy had come to Aridhol but Aridhol.
