Why this piece of art? I mean I don't agree with you, I like all the shipping and how it inspires art from people, but besides that, why complain on this picture? Yes it's ship-y, but it's not like two people can't cuddle without being in a relationship, maybe Ruby had a nightmare or fell asleep and Nora was just helping her. If your going to complain about shipping trust me, there are plenty of material with far more shipping to complain about.

Trust me I was under a lot of stress when I posted this comment, and I wasn't complaining about this picture or the person who drew it. II see fans focusing on shipping to the point where it becomes the only thing they care about in the show. Last night I was on the RWBY Amino app and saw a post about ships involving Jaune. It was a poll asking which one was the best one, and Arkos took the top spot even though Pyrrah is dead. I supported that ship but I moved on after ii crashed and burned because there's not point in getting hung up over it. Why would fans vote for a ship when it can no longer be physically possible to happen in the actual cannon? Do people want Jaune to stay sad and lonely for the rest of his life? I'm sorry but I can't condone something like this happening. The fans have turned their passion for the show into an unhealthy obsession.

I kind of found out about this not all that long ago. It did make me aware of just how many ships this fandom has made for this show. It also makes me realize that a lot of fans try to psychoanalyze the characters in the show without realizing that those characters are people just like them. Characters of a story are made to be relatable and because of that fans can understand them to some extent. Unless you are dealing with atypical characters who act crazy and over the top then this almost always applies to most main protagonists and major supporting characters. I feel like that a lot of the ships on that spreadsheet can't possibly be something the majority of fans actually fawn over. Sorry if I sound salty in any way.

Well this spreadsheet isn't for the most popular ships or anything, it just shows you all the name people thought about for ships, would they be canonically possible or what we call "crackships" 'cause whoever thought about them was probably doing drugs.
And yeah, it may seem a bit crazy, but some fics and art are really good stuff ! And sometimes I never thought about a ship, and then suddenly I find myself loving it (like Frostbite, Cinder with Winter. It's completely impossible in the show, and I don't even hope it will happen, but some fics with an alternative universe make it a really interesting and cute couple)

If you have nothing nice to say, just say nothing and move on with life. No need to be hateful. Just move on with your life. I'm sure that there are plenty of fandoms that don't have any gay art. Kimmy took time to make this, and if you have nothing nice to say about this art, just don't say anything at all.

I think you may have misunderstood me. I was not attempting to convey any thing hateful with my words. I get really concerned with the future of RWBY with the direction its fandom is heading in. Despite RWBYs many flaws as a series, I still love its world and characters immensely and would like more than any thing to see it progress into something amazing. I get worried when I see other RWBY fans become so overly obsessed on merely romance alone and practically ignore the plot entirely. Fans can just as easily destroy a series as they can support it. I have seen and heard a lot of things about other fandoms like Steven Universe, Undertale, and even Kingdom Hearts. I once heard that you could get banned from an Undertale forum or site for just saying something negative about one of the characters. I understand this can be how fandoms can work in general, however I would prefer if RWBY didn't end up getting labeled negatively. I just think it would really suck if RWBYs fandom became hostile and insensitive to its fans.

I am not hating on this well made piece of artwork, the artist who made it or anybody specifically right here in this "comment section". I have literally bashed heads with a lot of people not just from the RWBY fandom but other ones as well. I have in fact argued with other fans of a lot of series that I genuinely love over some pretty trivial stuff. I'm pretty sure that I mentioned that I honestly think the artist who made this piece right here did an out standing job and I wasn't referring to their artwork. I only stated my concerns about the RWBY series. At no Point did I ever bring up any thing mean spirited or specifically directed at any individual person here. So I really don't get why you are giving me sh*t like this. If said any thing offensive, then I'll try to avoid that from now on.

Dude... it's shipping. Everyone can be shipped with everyone. It happens in every single Fandom. Canon pairing, crack pairings it doesn't matter. Let people ship who they please. If they wanna ship people being homo then let them ship people being homo. Some people can interpret it as Nora being friendly and hugging Ruby, some could interpret it as a shipping. In the end they have the right to view this art piece as they want it and don't need your comments criticising their views.
Also on someones fan art is not the place to rant about it either. An artist want's comments and criticism on their artwork, not rants about your pet peeves on shipping so please take it somewhere else.
