As much as I like the show Rwby, I just don't understand why "Ruby Rose" is listed as the main character.
She doesn't really do much, except fight and act comedically. -I wish we knew more about her as a character.
As for the drawing, I think it's pretty good. nice work with the inner tube. I also like the shine of the hair and the design of the top piece of the swimsuit.
Also, it seems awfully convenient that the cloud on the left starts going around the inner tube.
Just a minor complaint...that body's a little to big to be Ruby's.

because she is the main character. she is the first your introduced to and the leader of the team and is the one that held her team together during hard times. we know more about her past then most other things, and she has done most things she has done very well, largely with communication. not to mention she has grey eyes and its been hinted heavily and even flat out stated that people with silver eyes are basically legends amunst men. and atop the tower, we clearly saw her use the power ov the silver eyes as she petrified the dragon. imo, its very clear why she is the main character.

No, those are just properties given to the main character.
You don't really need "Ruby" to be the main character, they could have just as easily made Juane or Pyrrah the one with silver eyes.
Especially since the show tends to focus just as much attention on those around her. Heck in the episode where Oobleck asked everyone why they attend Beacon Academy, Ruby is the only one that doesn't answer. We can guess why she wants to attend, but because she never outright states what her intentions or goals are, we literally end up knowing less about her.

Woah woah, look, the point I'm trying to get across is that Ruby needs to be portrayed as more of a character with personality, rather than a comedic construct. Hopefully, that'll happen in the next season.

I suppose that's true. its okay, i don't think it was too much, but i try not to pre-judge. yes there are idiots out there, but you never know who your dealing with, or the reason behind what there saying. often times i see people treating others like retards and being hostile over a simple miss-communication.
