Transcript of meeting between MJ-12 leadership and The President of the United States. In relation to information concerning the enemy's capabilities and leadership.
This material is for Official Eyes only.
Any viewing by an unauthorized party will be considered treasonous.
The President:
What have you uncovered?
MJ-12 council member #1:
We believe we've found the leaders of our enemy?
The President:
Is this information legitimate?
MJ-12 council member #4:
We sent in a team outfitted with some our best equipment, to the enemy's largest base cluster.
They made it all the way to the very heart, and found a massive room, heavily guarded by the enemy.
They entered the room, and found several figures arranged in a circular formation.
The team studied them, and learn that these figures collectively controlled a massive amount of information.
This information, which unfortunately is unintelligible to us, but is able to be detected, was being sent out to,
what we assume---every enemy unit.
MJ-12 council member #6:
Therefore is logical to assume---that these objects are the collective intelligence of our foe,
a sort of "collective brain", connected to every enemy unit through wireless communication.
Sending information through the air, like a radio, or television transmission.
Why we believe them to be the enemy leadership, is that this signals being sent seem to originate from them.
So it is safe to assume that the ones who control such information, are naturally in a position of high leadership.
The President:
How do you know that they are the leaders and not some main computer core?
MJ-12 council member #6:
Well essentially sir, the enemy are a bunch of computers, from all the information we've uncovered.
Of course the same could be said about us. However, from the descriptions given to us by our team,
we can say that their design has elements matching that of the rest of the enemy types.
Unfortunately, the enemy's makeup is very different from our own---just in designing.
So everything is always open, we only know of what role a certain enemy type plays by observing it,
and coming up with our own conclusions afterwards as to whether or not we're right.
At this point, and with the information we have, we believe this is the role these particular beings are fulfilling.
However, we could be wrong, there's always that possibility.
The President:
Are the team still live?
Could they possibly attempt to communicate with the beings?
All council members:
....
MJ-12 council member #1:
We've lost contact with the team....
The President:
Every one of them?
MJ-12 council member #1:
Yes, sir. At this point there probably dead.
Either due to the enemy, or to avoid capture.
The President:
...Please notify their familys...
MJ-12 council member #1:
Yes, sir.
The President:
So there's no way to establish a dialogue with their leaders?
MJ-12 council member #6:
Even if it could, sir, we would not be able to communicate with them,
we've yet to decipher their language, or know whether or not they have a language.
The President:
Are you saying there's absolutely no way to communicate with them.
To establish a dialogue, or to decrypt their information to learn what they're doing?
MJ-12 council member #6:
Yes, sir.
The President:
....Thank you---that will be all for today...
[The council members salute, as The President walks out of the room.]

Final assessment:
If these are the enemy leadership, it is critical that we find some way to communicate, or in the case that we cannot...
We are to destroy them, in the hope that it will cripple our enemy. Even that we cannot be sure.
For all we know, these could not be the leadership, or if it is---than we could be opening up a hornet's nest...
In light of such possible scenarios, caution is advised. However, every day we wait---we may be inching closer and closer to the edge.
