This speedpaint is dedicated to my littlest sister, Ava, whose birthday was at the end of January!

This particular speedpaint depicts the legendary young hero known as Steven Universe, along with his rather conflicted family, the Diamonds. This little teen discovers at an early part of his life that his heritage comes from the most powerful leaders of the Gem Homeworld, and after discovering the struggles of his mother, Pink Diamond, Steven takes it upon himself to fix this broken family. He learns that two of the Diamonds, Yellow and Blue, feel crushed under the pressure and expectations that their superior, White Diamond, has placed upon them all. Steven soon discovers, in a Battle of Heart and Mind, that his power to inspire change may be just what they all needed.
