My fav Kaiju once again. My last take wasn't really bad but I portrayed the monster from above, missing his iconic spiked chest; Also because it's always fun to draw more pterosaurs.
BTW For some reason, Polish poster for the movie thought that Rodan was... T. Rex ???? 1.fwcdn.pl/po/88/31/188831/705… wtf

Yeah the earlier stages look silly, but the final one...
Its head reminds me of Godzilla as if channeled through Lucio Fulci's trademark "We Are Going To Eat You' Zombie poster. (look at the black and white poster of Shin-Godzilla).

Thanks to a friend for showing me this film, one of the best new films I have seen since the horror film The Witch.
I don't think much of newer films for reasons not worth mentioning anymore but there are gems that get through like this one, of course backed by decades of earlier films…among the first I enjoyed as a child(and still enjoy), Toho Studio's Godzilla films..Shin Godzilla literally 'New' Godzilla is quite a departure from the films of before.
It is a film that captures the essence of what made the original Godzilla(Gojira) of 1954 so memorable, the literal force of nature the creature represents along with the mystery and sense of powerlessness felt by the humans in dealing with it.
Achieving the same essence with a different form rather than worshipping and reviving a used up dead husk is the essence of traditionalism. I will admit at first I was taken aback by the amount of talking and th

Btw, that poster is insane! You know, in the German dubs of the Godzilla films from the 60s and 70s, Dr. Frankenstein is Godzilla's archenemy, an unseen villain who creates the kaiju Godzilla battles. XD
