Carnavalle Beleza’s life has been nothing but quiet. Having lived in Paldea up to his teen years, he’s had quite a fruitful life, discovering his passion for designing clothes fairly early, taking up samba in and out of school, participating in at least two cross country contests (he got 4th and 2nd respectively), and even taking up fashion design as his main course for collage. During his stay, he learned about a bright and bustling city called Mailawan, where technology, art, design, and business grew and flourished. Setting his sights for the city, he’d ace his classes and move a year and a half later to Mailawan, where he’d meet his forever friend Yenlei, as well as make it big in the fashion industry.

Since then he's been supporting Yenlei's modeling career by being both her manager for modeling shows, as Carnavalle's network has grown exponentially since breaking into the fashion world, as well as inviting her to try out some of his designs. He's also had a hand in dragging Yenlei to dance classes, both to have a partner to dance with, as well as introduce her to other members of the fashion industry.

Personality

Carnavalle is incredibly extroverted and infectiously energetic. He loves to be around people, rubbing elbows with all sorts of individuals and not only talking not stop about the latest news, but he makes it a point to listen and engage with whomever he’s talking to as well. It also helps that Carnavalle has an impressive memory, able to retain what he’s learned near perfectly. As such, he tends to be the go to Pokedude when it comes to getting information, something he also tends to freely give unless it’ll affect another person. He knows when to speak, and when to hold his tongue, making him quite the valuable friend.

As mentioned before, Carnavalle is very energetic, and nowhere is this more true than his extracurricular activities outside the fashion industry. His main passion is dancing, something his species is known for, though Carnavalle cranks this up to 11 by being fluent in several dance forms. Apart from taking up samba, he’s also dabbled in both sevillanes, tap dancing, and recently, tinikling. Thanks to his move Aqua Step he’s also found a deep interest in capoeira, and occasionally uses it when training with Yenlei.

Skills

As a Poke-Anthro, he has a list of moves he’s known to use, either when Pokemon training, or mixing his moves with his dances. These moves include: Aqua Step, Disarming Voice, Feather Dance, and Close Combat.

Accessories

Mystic Water Necklace
- A keepsake from his time in Paldea, Carnavalle wears this little trinket at all times. Stored underneath his mane when in battle or when it clashes with his outfit, he usually has it displayed atop his mane to show it off or to tie his whole outfit nicely. It also boosts his water abilities a great deal, though this only ever is used when he's performing, as he rarely tends to fight.

Personalized Rotom Phone Display Case
- While most Rotom Phone display cases are just that, display cases, Carnavalle's is unique in that it has an additional storage compartment capable of storing small objects and shrinking them to fit without breaking the object. While he often hides snacks in it he also has a Tera Orb inside it, another keepsake from Paldea though rarely used, as well as his Mystic Water necklace which stores when going to bed.

- Another keepsake from Paldea, the orb he carries with him is a powerful reminder of home, of a more simple life outside the bustling city of Mailawan. Despite the orb being inactive for years now, he still keeps it on his person at all times and occasionally includes it with an accessory when he wants to show off his Paldean roots.

Boy howdy did this take time to write. I've had some idea on what I wanted Carnavalle to be, especially because he became my favorite Pokemon in the new gen. Hells, I even started drawing him in another pic before posting this. However, pinning down his backstory took a lot longer, especially as I continued my run in Pokemon Scarlet, and with a bit of writer's block I wasn't quite sure where to go with him till just now. Still, I'm happy with my tall gay peacock man, and I love that he now acts as one of the very few males I have under my OC belt as well as a new addition to my avian crew.
