This was a commissioned project of a character named Cyrus, in midst of a bloody battle. It's supposed to be a dramatic image, with lots of fire and debris.
Although challenging, the result came out very satisfying - all the effects, textures and geometry look how they're supposed to look.
All parts are layered, from the flames, to the sword, enemies and background pieces, so if there's a need to add, remove or modify any part of the image, it can easily and quickly be done.
The image and overall lighting can also be drastically changed, since it was composed on a base of ambient occlusion that accepts most lighting scenarios.
