Have you heard!! They found a lot of prototype pokemon sprites from Pokemon Gold: beta!Β twitter.com/Seanbo124/status/1β¦It's so interesting looking at all the pokemon that could have been! I want to draw more of them but started with the fire starters.
Here's my interpretation of the fire starter sprites.
// edit: also oops, didn't know their names have literally "bear" in them, so I based the last form on felines more, haha.. maybe I'll revisit these with more 'bear' in mind.
Also I want to say I'm glad these weren't picked (even though they're cute) because cyndaquil line is my favorite from all the starters!

it's also fun to see what might have been in the games. xD Some of them I am VERY glad they did not make the final cut, others I think would have been really cool to see stick around.
